General Summary:

As a Business Development Manager your objective is to build Clementine’s market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Focused specifically on increasing Clementine’s Midwest footprint within the medical (hospital, doctors, practices) and non -medical (property management, home services, small business) industries. This individual comes to work every day to conquer the market in a positive, professional and energetic manner. Exceeding established sales quotas, closing executive level sales presentations, producing and converting leads, while networking throughout organizations and industries, is what will make this individual successful in achieving our #1 goal, to increase Clementine’s market share in our hometown, Metro Detroit, and throughout the Midwest.

Essential Job Functions:

• Focus and expand Clementine’s Metro Detroit medical answering service footprint, by targeting specific hospitals, doctors, physician practices, associations, and local communities and tradeshows/events.
• Identify and develop relationships within medical industry professionals to generate new business opportunities
• Cultivate new client relationships and maintain relationships throughout sales cycle and beyond
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic industry partners and decision makers
• Analyze potential areas for expansion and implement growth strategies into new markets and industries
• Monitor current and approaching sales/customer opportunities and craft custom proposals
• Convert inbound leads from marketing efforts to sales opportunities to customers
• Attend trade shows to generate new business leads, to stay abreast of market conditions and opportunities, research competition, and establish relationships with existing clients and prospects.
• Provide ongoing progress updates on new business development activities and other key indicators to the Clementine management team.
• Manage and maintain CRM/Salesforce for business development, lead list, lead engagement, conversion, setup, etc.
• Execute and follow up on marketing campaigns with lead lists in CRM – target market to internal leads.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with Clementine marketing, account management, and senior management.
• Learn the in’s and out of the Telephone Answering Service industry as well as the markets we serve (ie Medical/Healthcare), while becoming an expert in our software and products.
• Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals
• Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales opportunities in a professional and effective manner
• Perform other duties as required to meet the business needs of the company

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Self motivator, confident, and ability to talk to anyone and everyone at all levels in an organization
• Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers at companies and organizations
• Outstanding presentation and relationship building skills
• Self-motivator with proven track record of building sales and clients in new markets/territories
• Ability to travel as needed
• Positive, brings a fresh outlook to our organization, clients, and team everyday

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• B2B sales experience (prefer 5+ years experience) in the medical/hospital industry or related to it with a successful track record.
