Clementine Employee Action Plans

Clementine’s culture is built on Integrity, Accountability, Positivity, and Enjoyment. Part of the accountability in our culture is that we instill in our workplace that everyone working together increases performance. We work to create effective leaders that ensure their team members are correcting performance opportunities and increasing their performance on a consistent basis. One of the ways we accomplish this is by developing effective action plans.

To create an effective action plan, our team leaders work with their team member. Part of the creation guidelines are following the S.M.A.R.T. guidelines*:

  • There should be Specific actions and goals, not vague.
  • The actions should be Measurable (Scores/KPI Metrics).
  • The actions and goals should be Attainable.
  • The actions and goals need to be Relevant to the situation.
  • The action plan must be Time-bound. Needs a start and end date/time.

The action plan also focuses on if the performance results are achieved effectively and with the best possible experience. When creating the plan, they also set the expectation that there will be follow up with feedback sessions. Clementine’s team leaders emphasize the accountability on the team member for implementing the action plan and committing to it.
Clementine is proud of the culture that they create focusing on team success.

*The SMART acronym first appeared in the November 1981 issue of Management Review. “There’s a S.M.A.R.T. way to write management goals and objectives.” was the title and it was written by George Doran, Arthur Miller, and James Cunningham.
